EXPERIENCED DENTIST required to work in Sydney Australia

Our client, is a provider of clinical mobile health services for the aged and has been operating for 8 years, they currently employ 15 people in 3 locations. Due to expansion in their operations, they currently have a vacancy for an experience dentist to service their Sydney operations.

Their aim is improve the quality of life for their clients by preventing and treating oral disorders through the provision of dental healthcare.

The dental facility is a state or the art mobile unit which is fitted with the latest technological equipment including digital X-ray, broadband and satellite navigation. The position is based in Sydney and will also cover some regional areas of NSW including Newcastle, Jarvis Bay and Orange.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Perform comprehensive oral health assessments;
  • Perform dental examinations to determine a diagnosis and develop a treatment plan;
  • Process and interpret X-rays;
  • Present to the patient their oral condition and treatment options to gain consent to proceed to the provision of dental treatment;
  • Educate patients on oral health care;
  • Council patients on plaque control;
  • Perform clinical treatment as required;
  • Administer and monitor effects of local anesthetics, conscious sedation and nitrous oxide sedation in the dental practice;
  • Prescribe medications to reduce the burden of infection or prevent infection;
  • Refer patients to specialist dentists or physicians when required;
  • Maintain concise, complete and accurate patient dental records;
  • Provide supervision over allied dental health professionals working in the dental practice;
  • Stay abreast of new developments through continuous professional development.

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Ability to be caring, patient and understanding of the elderly;
  • Successfully completed Bachelor of Dentistry;
  • Required qualification for registration with the appropriate Dentist Registration Board in Australia;
  • Valid driver’s license;
  • Ability to work independently, be resourceful and communicate effectively;
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills;
  • A passion for the industry.

The client is willing to provide visa sponsorship to the right person to work and live in Australia, and assist with short term accommodation on relocation to Australia.
